Carlingford & Slieve Foye

Carlingford is a medieval town on Carlingford Lough with real Norman heritage, including the ruins of King John's Castle overlooking the harbour. It's known these days for its oysters, seafood and a lively pub scene, all set beneath Slieve Foye, the highest of the Cooley Mountains at 589 metres and the highest point in Co. Louth.
