Tony's Cabs has been running taxis out of Drogheda since 1988. The firm was founded by Tony, who started out with a single car and a simple aim: get people where they needed to go, reliably and on time. That same aim has grown into what's now the largest fleet in Co. Louth — saloons and estates, an 8 seater, and executive cars, with wheelchair accessible vehicles across the fleet as standard.
What hasn't changed is who you're dealing with. We're still an independent, family-run operation based at 1 Stockwell Lane, off Stockwell Street in Drogheda, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — not a call centre in another country, not an app deciding your fare on the fly.
Founded by Tony, and never forgotten
Tony founded this business back in 1988 and spent decades behind the wheel getting Drogheda where it needed to go. The freephone number may have changed over the years, but if you look closely at the old van you'll spot where our "0868 Ten Ten Forty" tagline came from.
He's dearly missed by his family, who are proud to keep his name over the door and carry the business forward in his memory.
